Hi there,

One quarter (almost) down.

Three more to go!

Are you on track to achieve your professional OKRs + goals for the rest of the year?

⚡ Supercharge of the Week

Remote Octopus recommends conducting a quick 15-20 minute self retro at the end of the quarter.

What is a self retro? A self retro, also known as a self reflection, is when you intentionally set aside time to reflect on your professional accomplishments, challenges, and learnings in order to ensure your choices are “helping [you] live the life [you] want to live.”

Plus we all know a good retro drives continuous improvement and increased productivity!

A self retro might explore:

  • Progress towards professional OKRs.

  • Opportunities for personal process improvements.

  • Professional concepts or lessons learned.

  • Which aspects of your role you found most challenging or disliked.

  • How your work is aligning to your values and goals.

🐙Remote Octopus prefers the 4Ls framework from Atlassian:

  • What did you love?

  • What did you loathe?

  • What did you long for?

  • What did you learn?

Dive in deeper to the 4Ls framework here.

Leverage your self retro insights to set yourself up for success for the rest of the year… your future self will thank you in December!
